Hello. My name is Ben Terry, and here I am again working on my personal web site. I'm a single Gen X guy from mid-Michigan, USA. For work I do IT for the local health system. I like role playing games. I like to fiddle with tech (mostly computer tech). I like to play guitar and sometimes mess with other musical instruments and gear. Life is generally good. I work a pretty normal schedule. Once a week I usually play trivia with some friends. Once a week I often play role playing games with friends, sometimes twice. Occassionally I'll get up to something else with people on another day of the week, be it jamming with my friend Chris, visiting the parents, some holiday business, a shopping trip or concert or something like that, watching a PPV at a friend's place, or maybe a vacation. I have no children or "significant other" as they say. My parents are still married, retired, and doing OK. I have a younger brother who has a wife and 3 kids and they are doing alright as well. We all live in the same school district, so not all that far apart. This is about as plain as I can describe my life, not zazzing it up too much, though I could apply some zazz if I wanted.
Today, and over the last weekend I've been working on my personal web site here. The current look and style I'm working from started as a rip of Chris Were's site style, which is a change from this old school "Header, Sidebar, Content" look I was rocking before. I would love for my personal site to eventually be what you might call "useful" in some way, so that is some motivation to me, but also I am satisfied enough just to have a site that is mine regardless.
